memory: or lack thereof...

most of the updates will be concerned with the memory piece as i am working on that more often than not. today was an interesting one... working with set designers, prop designers and costume designers for this collaborative piece... a plentiful amount of good ideas thrown about... and then discarded!! which i personally found quite discouraging... I'm not used to this method of devising and am finding it difficult to engage with. when i create an idea i like to nurture it, not pass it by and move on... so am opening up new ways of thinking however challenging it may be. Another problem with today was that no matter how good an idea was, if it wasn't agreed upon by the whole group it was cast asunder. so only three ideas have stayed from a whole days work... them being: the use of silks, mirrors and a 'memory box' (whatever that may be.) think that's about all for the update.
